Almanzo 100

This last weekend I rode in the Almanzo 100. The Almanzo is a 100 mile gravel race in southern MN. Usually it starts in Rochester, but due to some difficulties this year it started in Spring Valley. While unfortunate for the race organizer (sounds like he had quite a few problems with the Rochester powers that be [...]

Sackville Saddlesack Large Review

I’ve been running around with a Large Sackille Saddlesack on my Hillborne for about six months now (serial number 41). I’ve got almost no complaints. The Good: Its fricken huge, like cavernous, this bag will eat other bags, and then more. I’ve been able to do our regular grocery run, a weeks worth of food [...]

Bike shipping sooner than expected

I just got an email from Rivendell that my Sam Hillborne will be shipping between April 13th and 18th. I’m super excited, hopefully since I just ordered a frame it will get here sooner than later and I’ll have it for the MN Ironman ride.

Bummer

I just got the word that my bike is going to be a month late. Best of luck to the guys at Rivendell, I’m sure that cant do anything to make life less stressful / easier given the current economy and whatnot. Now I’ve got to come up with a new plan for spring riding… [...]
